Bio

What are some of the specific conditions you treat?

Cardiac arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia. Some of the techniques I use are catheter ablation for arrhythmia, cryoballoon atrial fibrillation ablation technique, stereotaxis (remote navigation) ablation technique, pacemaker implantation, ICD implantation, laser lead extraction, loop recorder implantation, cardioversion, lariat left atrial appendage ligation.

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

I treat my patients as I would like to be treated. I spend the necessary time to make patients understand the disease they suffer from, the rationale for treatment of the conditions and different treatment approaches. I am part of a team with high values and quality standards. We use a team approach for most procedures in an effort to maximize the outcomes and reduce complications.

What inspired you to become a doctor?

During my first contact with a medical environment, a fractured leg while in high school, I was impressed by the dedication of the physicians and the empathy of the nurses. I was touched by the pain of the sick people. I wanted to help and make a difference in the lives of others.

I couldn't be happier with the care provided by Dr Musat! Upon entering doctor greeted both my wife and I warmly shook our hands and sat down and made immediate eye contact, which was very reassuring. He asked questions and listened intently to my answers which in my experience has not been the norm. He actually listened without working on a computer. He explained everything very clearly. In fact, he used a model to demonstrate the workings of my heart explained my condition and was very clear about our next steps. I would recommend Dr. to anyone in need of his care. Thank you very much.
