What are some of the specific conditions you treat?

All expects of benign obstetric and gynecologic conditions. Including, but not limited to, preconception counseling, general infertility work ups, prenatal care, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, contraception counseling and related procedures, menopausal condition treatments, annual gynecological exam, abnormal PAP smear treatment, management of abnormal menstrual bleeding, benign uterine, ovarian tumor/cysts surgeries.

What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?

Office procedures: Contraceptive procedures, Vulvar/vaginal biopsy, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, genital wart treatment. OR procedure: Hysteroscopy: dilation and curettage, polypectomy, myomectomy, endometrial ablation. Laparoscopy: diagnostic, salpingectomy, oophorectomy, ovarian cystectomy, ectopic pregnancy treatment, hysterectomy Robotic assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy Abdominal surgery: exploratory laparotomy, hysterectomy, myomectomy.

Describe some of your professional highlights.

Robotic assisted laparoscopic procedures. I was a designated surgeon for minimally invasive gynecological procedures by SRC (Surgical Review Corporation), and was a member of COEMIG (Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology). Aside of being an OBGYN board certified physician, I am also a member of AAGL (American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists).

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

I always consider medicine as an art to solve human health issues. There is a lot of science in it, but not all. I always see a patient as a whole, bringing all of her background with her with current health problems. To better treat patient, it’s very important to understand the disease, and understand patient herself as well. I like to listen to my patients concerns. After carefully analyzing the problem, our decision making process is based on how much patient understands the situation and my expert opinion. Then we make decision together.

What inspired you to become a doctor?

Being a frequent doctor-seeing child made me be familiar and understand the meaning of being a patient. That’s a calling of being a doctor when I grew up that how I want to make people feel better.
