Bio
What are some of the specific conditions you treat?
Atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, premature ventricular complexes, ventricular tachycardia, sudden cardiac arrest, syncope, heart block, and cardiac device infection or malfunction.
Procedures offered: atrial fibrillation device implantation; laser lead extraction; radiofrequency or cryo-catheter ablation, including complex ablation for ventricular tachycardia; premature ventricular complexes; His bundle pacing; left bundle branch pacing; left atrial appendage occlusion.
Describe some of your professional highlights.
I graduated with a bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University and with a medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. I completed an internal medicine residency, a cardiovascular disease fellowship, and clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship training at Boston Medical Center, the teaching hospital of the Boston University School of Medicine.
After completing my training, I stayed on as faculty at Boston Medical Center and at Boston University School of Medicine for five years until coming to Valley Health System in 2015. My areas of expertise include the management and treatment of all arrhythmias with device- or catheter-based therapies including conduction system pacing (His bundle and left bundle branch area pacing), biventricular pacing, cardiac contractility modulation, laser lead extraction, left atrial appendage occlusion, atrial fibrillation ablation, and ventricular tachycardia ablation. My research focus includes high-density 3-dimensional electroanatomic mapping for treatment of atrial fibrillation and His bundle pacing, on which I have contributed multiple articles to the medical literature and given invited talks on the subject.
What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
My clinical approach involves developing a therapeutic partnership with my patients to focus on their needs and symptoms while providing the highest quality and evidence-based care of arrhythmias.
