Bio
What are some of the specific conditions you treat?
As a medical oncology nurse practitioner my focus is on diagnosing, treating, and managing cancer and cancer related conditions. I treat solid tumors such as breast, lung, colorectal, prostate, head and neck, pancreatic, gynecologic cancers, and gastrointestinal cancers. I also work with a team that treats hematologic cancers such as leukemias, lymphomas, and multiple myeloma. I manage
paraneoplastic syndromes and cancer treatment side effects and complications. I provide supportive care and long-term surveillance and follow up. I also manage benign hematological conditions as well.
What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
As a nurse practitioner, I believe in a patient centered approach to care, where each individuals unique needs, concerns, and goals are at the heart of every decision we make together. My priority is to create a safe, compassionate environment where patients feel heard and empowered in their care journey.
What inspired you to become a doctor?
My journey to becoming a nurse practitioner was inspired by a deep desire to make a difference in people's lives through compassionate, hands-on care. I've always been driven to help others and early experiences in healthcare showed me just how powerful it is to be a source of support and healing during some of life's most challenging moments.
