What are some of the specific conditions you treat?

Any disease conditions that are being admitted by the hospitalists both for observation overnight or for inpatient stay such as: Upper respiratory illnesses; Respiratory cases with asthma, COPD, pneumonia; Chest pain or angina; GI issues such as abdominal pain, GI bleed, bowel obstructions, diverticulitis, colitis, appendicitis, cholecystitis etc.; Angioedema, cellulitis; TIA or stroke-like symptoms; Urinary tract infections or sepsis, etc.

What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?

Difficult IV start, difficult blood draws, removal of central lines, drains, NG tube or kaofeed tube insertions, foley catheter insertions, etc., to name a few.

Describe some of your professional highlights.

I am a board certified Advanced Practice Nurse ,who is currently performing in the role of Hospitalist/House APN. I am a certified CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse ) with over 25 years of critical care experience, including ICU/CCU/IMC and cardiac cath lab/electrophysiology lab at The Valley Hospital.

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

I am compassionate and caring with great empathy and sympathy for the sick and ailing people, hence I chose this profession which helps me to do my best for patients. My years of experience and service at Valley have made me comfortable enough to reach out to the right resources to provide safe and quality care to the patients entrusted to my care. I feel confident to address any concerns or issues related to patient care.

What inspired you to become a doctor?

My parents, my coworkers and my superiors who had the trust and confidence in my abilities as a critical care nurse.
