What are some of the specific conditions you treat?

In critical care we treat a range of conditions from sepsis to respiratory failure and kidney failure. We use a patient and family centered approach, updating family members daily and including them in decision making.

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

I believe that the patient and family's beliefs and wishes are of utmost importance when caring for a patient in critical care. I always keep my families informed and updated as frequently as possible. Having a family member in critical care is one of the most stressful things most families will experience so I always do my best to care for the entire family, not just the patient in our critical care bed.
