What are some of the specific conditions you treat?
Our office consults patients with coronary atherosclerosis, valvular disorders, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, aortic disease, as well as structural issues with the sternum (i.e sternal wire complications).
What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?
Some of the techniques and procedures that I use in my practice include I&D, thoracentesis, wound care including local treatment, VAC therapy, and debridement. I also use Allen's test for a-line/radial artery harvesting.
What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
My approach to care is consistent with Valley's values – patient/family-centered care. I practice active listening and really take time to get to know our patients. I provide emotional support and make sure all team members that will be involved in care are well informed of any possible issues. Patient safety is always at the forefront of my mind.
