What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
My approach to healthcare includes a team-based effort with clear communication and transparency in which the patient and family's values and beliefs are at the center of care.
What inspired you to become a doctor?
Growing up, I've always thought of nursing as one of the most rewarding careers in the workforce. As a child, I would often accompany my mother to the various nursing homes she worked in. After seeing the appreciation and respect the patients and families had for their nurses, it ignited my passion to become a nurse. After a decade of working in various healthcare settings such as med/surg, emergency room, intensive care, cardiac surgery, endoscopy; I gained a greater understanding of the healthcare profession. These experiences over the years helped solidify my decision in becoming an acute care nurse practitioner and mkae a greater impact on patient lives and outcomes.
