Bio

What are some of the specific conditions you treat?

I treat respiratory failure (including pneumonia, COPD/asthma flare-ups, and ARDS), sepsis and septic shock, blood clots in the lungs (pulmonary embolism), kidney injury, severe electrolyte or acid-based problems, and complex endocrine emergencies like diabetic ketoacidosis.

What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?

Care often involves bedside ultrasound, ventilator management, careful use of medications (including antibiotics, diuretics, and vasoactive drugs), and close teamwork with cardiology, pulmonary, and surgical colleagues.

Describe some of your professional highlights.

Teaching and teamwork are central to my practice - I precept trainees, lead brief "at-the-bedside" teaching and prioritize clear communication with patients and families. My goal is consistent: evidence-based care, delivered with urgency and compassion, that helps patients recover safely and avoid readmission.

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

I start by listening - your goals, symptoms, and what matters most to you. Then I explain the plan in plain language, invite questions, and make decisions with you. My care is evidence-based and safety-focused, but also practical. We tailor medications, diet, and follow-up to fit your life.

What inspired you to become a provider?

I'm motivated by gaps. I've seen patients rehospitalized for preventable reasons like medication costs, transportation, or unclear instructions. As a Nurse Practitioner, I can close those gaps - teach, coordinate, and advocate - so the plan is not just correct but doable. Finally, I value teamwork. The NP role lets me collaborate tightly with physicians, nurses, therapists, and families to deliver timely, compassionate care. That combination of impact, partnership, and purpose is why I choose and love this work.
