Bio
What are some of the specific conditions you treat?
I treat many urgent conditions, including upper respiratory, urinary tract and ear infections.
What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?
We perform laceration repairs, suture removals, and X-rays in our office.
Describe some of your professional highlights.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked as a women's health nurse for 15 years, with a particular focus on reproductive endocrinology. As a nurse practitioner, I gained some background in cardiac and vascular care, and I incorporate my previous clinical experience into my current practice in urgent care.
What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
I strive to build meaningful connections with my patients by attentively and empathetically listening to their concerns and actively involving them in their healthcare decisions. My clinical approach integrates wellness promotion and illness prevention alongside the management of acute conditions. I firmly believe that optimal health is achieved when the body, mind and spirit are all in balance.
What inspired you to become a nurse practitioner?
To me, being a nurse practitioner is to provide compassionate, holistic care with the empathy of a nurse but on a more autonomous level. I appreciate how this position challenges me intellectually by requiring me to stay current on a broad range of medical topics.

Had a very positive experience. Much better than the experience I had with the doctor I saw for my annual physical exam. The NP showed care, listened to all my concerns and treated me with the utmost respect.

Irina was fantastic. Thorough in her interview and spent the necessary time to outline possible issues and courses of action in addition to addressing my immediate cncern. I am not someone who enjoys interacting with the medical system but she was just plain fantastic.
