What are some of the specific conditions you treat?
In over 10 years of my practice, I've helped patient manage their hypertension and control their blood pressure. I also helped in managing their diabetes and high cholesterol.
Describe some of your professional highlights.
I think every time we have a patient or their family member comes back and tell us their successful stories battling different things about their health and how we became a tool or help in some way is a highlight in my professional career.
What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
I strongly believe that seeing the wellness of the patients starts with prevention and continues with regular follow-ups to better understand the patient's health. Through my years of practice, I have seen many diseases that were prevented or detected early following the guidelines created by the United States Preventive Services Task Force. I would like to continue to work to explain these recommendations to my patients and work together as a team.
What inspired you to become a doctor?
I wanted to be a Doctor to help in my own little way. Before going into medical school, I would often participate in Medical Missions to help those who have very little access to healthcare. I felt so hopeless at that time and it inspired me to strive harder and learn more about medicine, the disease process, treatment, and prognosis.

Dr. St. Maria is the best! It took me awhile to find a primary care doctor who would take the time to discuss things that bothered me. She truly cares. She is a wonderful physician and I am very lucky to have found her.
