What are some of the specific conditions you treat?

As a cardiothoracic surgery and medical APN in the intensive care unit, I specialize in patients with conditions such as CAD requiring CABG, patients with valvulopathies, aortic aneurysms and dissections, advanced heart failure, arrythmias, pericarditis, and hypertensive emergencies. I also specialize in the post-operative care of thoracic surgery patients after lobectomies, wedge

resections, esophagectomies, and fundoplication.

What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?

I specialize in critical care management of patients including, but not limited to: insertion and monitoring of vascular access lines including central lines, arterial lines and pulmonary artery catheters for continuous hemodynamic monitoring, non-invasive and mechanical ventilation management, lumbar drain, continuous renal replacement, and mechanical circulatory devices.

Describe some of your professional highlights.

I have worked for Valley for 6+ years bedside as a critical care RN in both the cardiac surgical and medical world before graduating and becoming an APRN for the Cardiothoracic Services and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. I am furthering my education by obtaining an Acute Care specialty at the University of Pennsylvania.
