Bio
What are some of the specific conditions you treat?
I treat a wide range of ailments of the respiratory system including asthma, COPD/emphysema, pleural effusion, and pneumonia. I provide follow-up care for patients after a recent hospitalization or infection. I am board-certified in Internal Medicine, pulmonary diseases, and Critical Care with over 15 years of experience in treating respiratory disorders.
Describe some of your professional highlights.
I have held various leadership positions at the institutions where I have worked which have allowed me to advance healthcare delivery and improve patient safety and quality. I am a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American College of Physicians and am a member of the American Thoracic Society. I have been active in these organizations which has allowed me to
stay current on advances in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. I have been teaching point-of-care ultrasonography to physicians from around the country for the past 15 years, both at the regional and national levels. I have been the recipient of the ACCP Young Investigator Award and Distinguished Chest Educator Award. My work with residents and fellows has earned me multiple teaching awards from Mount Sinai West-Morningside and NYU Winthrop. I was the recipient of the United Health Fund Excellence in Healthcare award for my work in healthcare simulation and quality improvement. I have also presented my research at international conferences and am a peer reviewer for multiple medical journals.
What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
My goal is to provide personalized and high-quality care to each patient. I am a big proponent of team-based care where I work closely with my team to ensure that that we provide holistic care for each patient.
