What are some of the specific conditions you treat?

I specialize in comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, providing care for conditions such as pregnancy/postpartum (including high risk), menstrual disorders, contraception/family planning, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids, pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, and menopausal health concerns. My goal is to offer compassionate, patient-centered care, ensuring that each patient receives personalized treatment tailored to their unique needs.

What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?

In the office setting I perform routine gynecological exams, pap smears, contraception counseling, breast cancer screening, osteoporosis screening, and STI screening. I also perform many in office procedures, including colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, and IUD and Nexplanon placement/removal. I perform many gynecologic surgical procedures including offering minimally invasive options, such as laparoscopy and robotic-assisted procedures for indicated patients. Some of the gynecological surgeries I perform include laparoscopic hysterectomy, abdominal hysterectomy, vaginal hysterectomy, ovarian cystectomy, oophorectomy, bilateral salpingectomy for surgical sterilization, ectopic pregnancy, hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, LEEP, labiaplasty, D&C/D&E. Some of the obstetrical procedures I perform include vaginal deliveries, vacuum deliveries, TOLAC/VBAC, cesarean deliveries, external cephalic version.

Describe some of your professional highlights.

I attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville where I received a BA in Medicine, Health, and Society. After university, I returned to Texas where I worked in the Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. I then went on to attend Saint James School of Medicine. During medical school I also completed two master’s degrees in public health as well as in Business Administration. I completed my OB/GYN residency at Hackensack University Medical Center where I served as chief resident, presented research at national conferences, and received the award for outstanding resident research.

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

My approach to patient care is centered on compassion and individual treatment plans. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where patients feel heard and respected. I want to empower my patients with evidence-based medicine so that they can make informed decisions about their health.

What inspired you to become a doctor?

Growing up I was always interested in the sciences and how the human body functioned. But more than that I always wanted to pursue a career that would truly make an impact in people's lives. Because of this I knew I wanted to go into the medical field, but I was not sure in what capacity. I eventually was drawn to become a physician because the career provides me the opportunity to continue lifelong learning and have a positive impact on my patients and my community.
