Also served as associate Program Director for the Dermatology residency program. Publications in top dermatology journals, including innovative research on conditions such as graft-vs-host disease and calciphylaxis. Presented nationally at prestigious conferences, including the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meetings.
Received awards such as the GW Medical Faculty Associates Pillars of Excellence Award and the Dermatology Residency Attending Teaching Award.
What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
Whether a skin condition is severe or benign, I like to present all available treatment options to involve patients in the decision-making process. I find that pursuing treatments that best align with each patient's goals is the best way to arrive at a good outcome. Being knowledgeable about the latest advances in dermatology is extremely important in this regard, given the pace at which medical science is moving. I am also never afraid to ask for a second opinion or refer patients to an area expert if needed.
What inspired you to become a doctor?
I was always fascinated by math and science, even from a young age. I decided to pursue clinical medicine over laboratory research because I loved interacting with patients and watching their journey back to health. I chose dermatology because the results are visible on people's skin, not just on a computer screen!

The care provider knew all of my information from the nurse. He was very calm with great calming manners. He not only spoke to me in medical terms but reviewed things in layman's terms as well. When medication was needed, he not only gave me options but helped me find the cheapest and most convenient method of obtaining the medication.
