What are some of the specific conditions you treat?

Thoracic aortic aneurysms, bicuspid aortic valves, valvular disorders, coronary artery disease. My area of focus is coordination and follow-up of patients requiring cardiac surgery including aneurysm surgery, coronary artery bypass grafting and intervention on valvular disorders. Surveillance of patients with thoracic aortic aneurysms. 

Describe some of your professional highlights.

I have been a registered nurse for 35 years. I am a practicing board-certified Nurse Practitioner for the last 16 years with focus on outpatient cardiothoracic surgery and coordination of care in patients with thoracic aortic aneurysms. My area of focus is patients requiring cardiac surgery including aneurysm surgery, coronary artery bypass grafting and intervention on valvular disorders. Annual surveillance imaging for patients with thoracic aortic aneurysms. 

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

I strive to provide all patients with comprehensive care that is individualized with a focus on not only physical but social and emotional aspects of their health. I believe that creating a trusting relationship with each individual is essential so that we can both work together to address the health issues and promote good health.
