Describe some of your professional highlights.
I have more than 15 years of experience working in healthcare. I began my career as a registered dietitian and worked in Denver, Colorado as a diabetes educator before completing my graduate training as a physician assistant. Prior to transitioning to endocrinology, I spent more than six years practicing primary care in Northern California, where I cared for underserved communities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I primarily provided care through telehealth, helping expand access to medical services during a critical time.
What inspired you to become a healthcare clinician?
I was inspired to become a clinician by my passion for science and my desire to help patients navigate their complex medical conditions. I find it rewarding to work with patients over time and support them in improvinf their health.
