Bio

What are some of the specific conditions you treat?

I specialize in navigating the first two years of infant development. I monitor milestones of infants born prematurely, and those born with conditions that may impact their developmental trajectory. I provide support and education to parents regarding expected infant development as well as provide appropriate referrals to other subspecialists and therapies (PT, OT, ST, EI, feeding).

What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?

I utilize the Bayley Scales of Infant Development to provide developmental exams to my patients.

Describe some of your professional highlights.

I graduated from Villanova University School of Nursing and started my career at New York Presbyterian, Columbia (MSCHONY) as a NICU nurse at a level IV NICU, I earned a nursing fellowship of patient quality and safety from Rockefeller University. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from Stony Brook University and in 2013 I presented about infection prevention in the NICU in Hong Kong. I moved to Mount Sinai Hospital as their Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Program Director and grew their NP program from 2 NPs to 19 spanning NICU, WBN and OB. I joined The Valley Hospital in 2019 as the NICU follow-up program Nurse Practitioner and sole APP for inpatient pediatrics. Now, as the Lead Advanced Practice Provider for inpatient and outpatient pediatrics we grew our Pediatric APP program welcoming APPs NICU, nursery, and expanding our outpatient APP presence to include pediatric surgery, pediatric physiatry, pediatric allergy pediatric endocrinology, and primary care pediatrics. I earned my

Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Duke University and presented my doctoral defense at the internal Gravens conference. I look forward to continuing to support the growth of our pediatric program and growth of our NICU graduates.

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

I take a family centered approach to my care. We will navigate your infants development together, learning how their growth will impact interactions with siblings, pets, family, members and preschool mates. We explore how certain points of development may change a sleep pattern or feeding tolerance and how best to support your baby through this time of immense growth. I also help distinguish between a preterm infants adjusted and chronologic age, and why certain babies have their own developmental trajectory.
