Bio

What are some of the specific conditions you treat?

Bradycardia and slow heart rhythms, heart block and conduction disorders, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), ventricular tachycardia (VT).

What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?

Catheter based radio-frequency ablation, cryo-ablation, and pulsed field ablation of various cardiac arrhythmias. Implantation of permanent transvenous pacemakers and defibrillators. Implantation of leadless pacemakers, including dual chamber leadless pacemaker systems. Implantation of subcutaneous defibrillators. Left atrial appendage occluder implantation.

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

I believe in an individualized approach to each patient’s arrhythmia and electrophysiology care. Electrophysiology is a rapidly evolving field, providing physicians with innovative technologies and techniques to diagnose and treat a wide range of heart rhythm disorders. While these advances broaden our horizon and offer exciting opportunities to improve patient care, I believe it is equally important to thoughtfully select the most appropriate treatment and technology for each patient.

Describe some of your professional highlights.

I completed my internal medicine residency, cardiovascular diseases fellowship, and clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. During that time, I served as the chief cardiology fellow and the chief electrophysiology fellow.

What inspired you to become a healthcare clinician?

The perfect combination of science, engineering, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives is what inspired me to become a health care clinician.
