What are some of the specific conditions you treat?

Some of the specific conditions I treat include growth disorders, hypothyroidism, childhood obesity, and delayed puberty.

What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?

One of the techniques I use in my practice is the Growth Hormone Simulation Test. Describe some of your professional highlights. I am a certified diabetic educator, as well as a certified pediatric nurse practitioner. I am also a leader of the Growth Hormone Simulation Testing Program.

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

I would like my patients to know that I am compassionate. There is high importance of patient education as well as the inclusion of family and patient in all of their care plan decisions.

What inspired you to become a provider?

I became a nurse 30 years ago and chose pediatrics as my specialty. Seven years later, I obtained my master's as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. I wanted to be able to diagnose and treat my patients independently while putting emphasis on patient education. I chose to pursue my own education and career in the medical field based on the nursing approach to medicine.
