What are some of the specific conditions you treat?
Some of the specific conditions that I treat are colon and rectal cancer, diverticulitis, benign colon and anorectal disease, inflammatory bowel disease, screening colonoscopy for colon and rectal cancer, and rectal prolapse.
What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?
Some of the techniques and procedures that I use in my practice include advanced robotic and laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery, minimally invasive surgery, exploratory surgery, anorectal surgery, colonoscopy, and colon and rectal cancer surgery.
What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
My approach to patient care involves consideration of both the pathology at hand and patient specific factors. Treatment can then be tailored to the individual. For more complex pathology, I approach patient care in a multidisciplinary fashion involving various providers and services.
What inspired you to become a doctor?
I was attracted to the task of making a very vulnerable moment in one's life less daunting. Whether it is a colorectal cancer diagnosis or a complicated case of diverticulitis, I wanted the chance to provide excellent care and establish a strong bond with patients.
