Shanthie has been wonderful every time I've needed to see her. During my most recent visit she spent at least 30 minutes with me. She examined me, explained what was going on and massaged the area for a good 20 minutes. [...] She asked how I was doing mentally/emotionally and showed great care and compassion. She listened intently and offered suggestions for reducing stress and changing my mindset. She also said if I find it difficult to do the massaging on my own that she will give me a script for PT - I said I would try it on my own first and would let her know how I was doing in two weeks. Whenever I meet with her or speak with her on the phone, she always listens to my concerns, answers all of my questions and always says don't hesitate to call if I ever have a question or concern. I always feel better after speaking with her or seeing her. I truly feel she cares about me, that I am not just a chart number or just another patient to deal with - she has a way of making you feel like you are her only patient, which is extremely rare and incredibly comforting, especially when dealing with this disease. She should be a model/mentor for all doctors, PA's, techs, nurses, etc. She is a special person and I am so grateful to have her on my care team. [...]
