Bio
What are some of the specific conditions you treat?
I attend high-risk deliveries to deliver neonatal resuscitation to any neonate in distress including shoulder dystocia, cesarean sections, meconium, bradycardia, tachycardia, maternal medications, and fetal distress. I also treat and monitor healthy babies in the newborn nursery to ensure they are ready to go home.
What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?
I perform neonatal resuscitation as per national guidelines, evaluate jaundice in newborns, educate families about normal newborn care and expectations, consult with other specialties as appropriate for congenital conditions, draw laboratory specimens as necessary, and clear infants for surgery including circumcisions.
What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?
The time before, during, and after an infant's arrival can be an amazing life event but also a daunting one. I like to support my families in whatever they need before they go home. Whether it is their first baby or tenth, I am here to assist and educate so that all members of the family have the best possible experience.
