What are some of the specific conditions you treat?

I am board certified in Cardiology and Critical Care Medicine which allows me to treat the most critically ill cardiac patients. Some of the specific conditions I treat include cardiogenic shock, arrhythmias, vascular complications, and patients recovering from cardiac surgery. 

What techniques or procedures do you use in your practice?

I am trained in most ICU procedures including central lines, invasive arterial monitoring, and bedside procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, and chest tube placement. My cardiology background also complements this skillset with bedside echocardiogram interpretation, emergent transvenous pacing, as well as cardiac monitoring with Swan-Ganz catheter.

What would you like patients to know about your approach to care?

Modern medical technology and pharmacology continue to push the boundaries of what can be treated, especially in the ICU setting. It is important to remember that aggressive medical care may not be within the wishes of every patient and to incorporate every patient's individual goals into their treatment plan.
